I know things now that I never knew about olive oil before and I am excited to share these gems of knowledge with friends and the recommendations of where to get the best oils too!
I loved learning about the oils but was slightly uncomfortable not knowing why we were doing certain things before participating. As a scientist, I always want to know before I do something (like taking a shot of oil) why this is the best way to do it. Especially when one time I'm told to do it one way then another time that I'm not supposed to do it. As fun as it was, I'm nervous to take this technique of trying olive oils back home because of not truly understanding the concept.
Besides those reservations, I did enjoy the new ways of enjoying olive oils and balsamics. It gave me new ways of looking at the condiments. I would have never thought balsamic on pizza would work and it so did! Or balsamic on dessert, count me in! Balsamic in tea, what an adventure! I even went home with two balsamics and and three oils, they have already been incorporated into daily dishes.
