  • This stretch of Leslieville has some GREAT cupcake options (Desmond & Beatrice, Bobbette & Belle, Sweet Bliss) but I thought I should give them a whirl to fulfill my pregnancy cravings of cupcakes and to make sure I knew just who was best on Queen East. They only have mini-cupcakes, which is fine, but if you are looking for big ones don't come here (I guess the name does suggest that). Anyways, I was VERY excited to bite into the chocolate coconut because it looked so lovely. I have to say, this might have been one of the worst cupcakes I have ever eaten. The buttercream icing had so flavor - just a bit from the coconut flakes and the chocolate cupcake was the same! The only reason I knew it was chocolate was because it was brown. I took a bite out of the rest of the three flavours and honestly - if this were a blind taste test - you couldn't differentiate between flavours. With D&B down the block and their rich, dense flavourful cupcakes I am shocked this place has survived. And that it has a TV show? The service was good, it is cute in there and they have macarons and good looking coffee I didn't try - so it gets a 2 star.
