| - There's a lot of great things about this particular location, and one major glaring bad.
The Good:
It lives up to its name. It's "convenient". It's made the "Ugh, I forgot or am out of (X item)" trips very easy to manage. It's also in a good location for my personal needs in terms of getting there and back.
The staff is also friendly. I once bought a ton of heavy, bulky stuff without thinking about how I was going to carry it. They actually helped carry the bags out to my car. That's something I'm not used to, but was very appreciated. The staff also is good tempered and joke around, which is nicer than dead-eyed stares and grunts you can get from other stores like this.
The Bad:
This particular store is fairly plagued by loiterers and panhandlers. If I run in and run out to my car quickly, I can usually avoid them. But it gets OLD fast hearing people constantly hit you up for money, gas, food, RIDES IN YOUR CAR, every sob story under the sun, and then get nasty towards you if you decline their requests. I'm sympathetic to rough times. I really am. But there are limits, and nastiness doesn't win me over to anyone's cause, and it's a pain in the butt having to run to and from the car trying to avoid these people. And it happens enough to make note of it.
I know the staff is aware of it, as they've snapped at people in the past to quit bothering customers, but no matter how much they curb the issue, it's still annoying when you get "summoned" for a grocery list of "gimmies" from people whose politeness is measured on how much you'll do for them.
But still I come back, because it's a good location, and the people are nice. I just hope that one day they're able to get rid of the panhandlers, or significantly lessen their frequency.
