  • My younger sister lives in California and is therefore miles ahead of me when it comes to taking care of herself, and in particular taking care of her skin. She started getting facial peels years ago but it took a move to Canada and a group buy website to get me started, despite my advancing years. I found a WagJag offer for reduced price chemical peels a couple of months ago and bought three. I had to wait until I had some time off to actually get around to getting one though since it's miles away from me and they open later and close earlier than my working hours! They seem to mainly take bookings by phone but I managed to get my appointment via email thanks to Yien which was a HUGE plus. I don't take or make calls in work and email has the added bonus of leaving me with a written record of the date and time. When I call somewhere I've often forgotten what I agreed to by the time I've hung up. I arrived today pretty early. For some reason I thought it was further away than it is. It's really close to the Sheppard-Yonge subway station-especially if you come out the Sheppard Avenue south door. The building itself is really cute. It looks just like a little house! When I entered I was greeted by nurse Tammy who was on the front desk. She was very genuinely welcoming and friendly. She made a real effort to learn my name and gave me my medical intake/consent forms. She then handed me over to Georgia, the aesthetician, who brought me downstairs to the treatment room. It was small and spotless. Georgia was incredibly sweet and explained the whole procedure. She spent time deciding which peel would be best before starting and told me what she was doing step by step as she went along. She kept checking that I was OK during it and chatted to me so the time completely flew! She told me what to expect after the treatment and gave detailed but simple instructions for care afterwards. I was also given a set of written instructions. I spotted one of the doctors as I left bringing in a patient and he was kind and smiley looking. It was the general atmosphere of the whole place! I bounced out the door after stealing a free chocolate from the reception desk. * -1 star for the Monday to Friday, 9-5pm opening hours which would require a day off to go again. Sigh.*
