I wouldn't even give this place one star. I was walking downtown with some friends and happened to see Thai Elephant (whose Tempe location is fairly good), so I convinced one to go in and split a dish with me. It costs two dollars to split a plate, which is fine, except they didn't even give us an extra plate and seemed angry that we were sharing (also, didn't seem very college-student friendly in general). The waitress just plopped the dish down and walked away. There were very few waiters working a packed lunch crowd, and this meant the waitress gave us the check immediately after giving us the food, and then someone else came and took it before I even had time to ask for a box.
I'm not too upset that I didn't get a box; the food was as awful as the service. We ordered the drunken noodles with tofu, and it came with thin pad-thai noodles instead of the wide rice noodles--seems like they were being lazy in the kitchen. Save your money and support better restaurants downtown.
