My modem/router crapped out and being too cheap to pay cox $150 for a replacement, I randomly found this place from a Craigslist ad. I was worried it was some shady deal since a $150 item for $40 seems too good to be true. And it's Craigslist...
He wouldn't give me an answer as to why he's selling it so cheap, so no idea how or why. They were actually going to charge me $50 until I showed the cashier the ad.
But it's a seemingly legit b&m store next to the old circuit city off Sahara/valley view. Authorized cox and direct tv dealer that also sells random a/v and phone accessories.
They're conveniently open daily late till 7pm and they seem to be selling the exact same model that I bought from cox 2 yrs ago. Side by side they look the same except for the generic packaging and the serial # sticker is positioned differently.
It's been a week and everything seems to work fine so far. It's also under warranty for a year, so keep the receipt - sounds like they'll just swap it out for a new one if you have issues
