The place was very busy but we were seated quickly. It is in the heart of Madison's theater district so parking was difficult. I went for the fish fry. For $10 (refreshing as opposed to $9.99) you get a three piece Spotted Cow battered cod, slaw, battered fries and rye bread (I always prefer marble rye but that's me.). Also refreshing was that the portion size was very decent and not gut busting. This place is a definite keeper. Many raved about the cheese curds and they didn't disappoint. You must try. They also had goat cheese curds which I am now dying to try.
The beer selection won't disappoint. Be sure to check out the chalk board for the specials. For dessert we had the Pumking (8 1/2% alcohol). OH my gosh. I am not a pumpkin pie connoisseur but I wanted a slice while drinking the Pumking.
Service was excellent despite it being crowded and the tables too close together. Definitely give it a try.
