| - After two years, I had a GREAT experience living here. I've been living in apartments for quite a while, and I know what to expect from a typical apartment. Awesome management! I definitely recommend this place.
1. Noise: I lived on a third floor unit, (so no one above me) and it was very rare that I heard any of my neighbors. Every now and then you get the random car alarm, but that's everywhere. The groundskeepers were consistent (Tuesdays at the time I was there) and so they don't surprise you.
2. Management: Angela was awesome! I never had a manager that was so friendly and so dedicated to her job as Angela is. She seems to live in that office so she's always on top of things. I would often stop by just to chat because she was so welcoming. Any of the few issues I had were addressed in a very timely manner, and I never felt I had to worry. Maintenance was also awesome and always working.
3. Parking: Ok, so I'm still giving this place 5 stars, but yes, the parking could be better. If you have more than one car, you will likely have a difficult time getting a good parking spot, especially on the weekends. Often times, I would end up parking my second car across the street, where there's a small parking lot for the greenbelt park. Of course, you do have one assigned, covered parking spot per unit.
4. Location: Awesome. I just walked downstairs and about 100ft and I was on the greenbelt. There are units that face the greenbelt as well (so your patio/balcony opens up to the park). Frys is just around the corner, as is Lowes, Peter Piper Pizza, Bosa Donuts, and my personal favorite, Dutch Bros (a block west). You can even get to the ASU campus using the greenbelt if you take the bike path down to the lake.
5. Layout/Grounds/Interior: I was in the 1br 1ba unit and it seemed a little bigger than it actually was, so don't let the sq ft scare you away, check it out for yourself. The appliances were just fine. I didn't have a refurbished model, but It really didn't matter to me. It's not like anything was outdated. The grounds were always well maintained.
The ONLY negative experience I had here was with a crazy neighbor. So of course this doesn't reflect on the apartment. Long story short he went nuts because my (big) dog ran across my living room for a few seconds on a few separate occasions (before quiet hours). He lived below me and felt the need to freak out and cry about it. Some people think that their apartment should be as quiet has a home in the middle of nowhere. My dog almost almost never barks and sleeps 95% of the day. So I just felt it was silly for my neighbor to cry about it.
