| - This company has provided me with, without question, the most unprofessional "customer service" experience of my life. As a technician working in customers' homes for over 15 years, I would be embarrassed to work for CMI. Judging by a few other reviews, combined with my own experience,I find it hard to believe that they're still in business.
Our appointment window was 3PM-7PM, so I left work early to be home by 3. I called the company at 4:15 to see if I could get an updated and hopefully narrower window of time to expect the tech. The lady that answered the phone in the office was quite short with me and said that they're running behind due to a "partial weather delay" earlier in the day. She said there was no way for her to estimate a more accurate eta for me, but that I should expect the tech toward the end of the appointment window and that he would call 30 minutes prior to his arrival. When I still hadn't received a call by 6:45, I called the office again. I was told that it would be another 45 minutes. When the tech finally called at 7:30, he said he'd be there in 10 minutes.
Then the really disappointing part starts... He knocked on the door and I invited him in. He said, "what's going on?". No effort to apologize or explain why he was so late. I gave him the rundown on what was happening with my AC, he just turned and walked out the door without a word. Rude to say the least. 5 minutes later he walked back in and said he could do anything because he didn't understand our thermostat. Really? An AC tech?
So, after losing pay at work, waiting all night for the tech to show up and finally hoping to have a cooled home, we got nothing but a story about no one being at the office this late and how he could do anything for us. I really feel like he just wanted to leave so he found the first excuse he could and left us in a hot house for yet another night.
I will call anyone BUT this company for AC needs in the future. And I'll be filing a formal complaint with my Home Warranty company for sending them to my house.
