DANGEROUS man with taser. We were here last night between 8-9pm. It was our first time here and we were pretty excited. The dog runs are HUGE! Much bigger than any dog park I have been to. They were pretty clean too. There is a small and large dog area with a third for rotation. We have a small and a large dog so we went to the large dog side. If there were any issues I'd take the small dog out. There were quite a few people there tonight. Going into an off leash situation you have to know that dogs are going to play and sometimes get into it and growl and bark. That's just a risk I think everyone knows you are taking. Of course if there is ever a fight it needs to be dealt with, but dogs will play and get excited. Last night there was a man threatening dogs with a TASER. He would yell at the owners "if your dog comes near mine I'm gonna taser it". He would get the taser out and make it go off. I don't think he touched a dog but he was not shy about waving it around. Now maybe his dog was older or scared or the other dog was mean or growling. You should NEVER threaten someone (dog or human) with a taser. It's there for protection as a last resort. That's it. If you don't want to risk your dog fighting or playing with another dog, don't come to an off leash dog park! The owners of the dog being threatened with the taser were keeping an eye on their dog. Aren't there rules/laws about brandishing weapons in public parks? He could have moved away to the far corner, the park is huge. We left pretty quickly after he brought out the taser. Love the park but I don't know if we will come back because of him. I took his picture too. Scary. Most of the people were really nice otherwise.
