| - What a nightmare. My 1st review was just on the ERX assessment of the damage. Since then, I had a lot of problems with them. My sewer flood happened at 7 am on 10/28/17. It took me until 7 pm to get a plumber, since my regular plumber was out of town. The plumber, from Eternal Plumbing snaked out the toilet and deemed it okay. He said he went out 30 ft and found a "soft clog". My brother, who works for the City of Henderson as an inspector, warned me that since the plumber did not check for breaks and roots in the sewer line, it could happen again. The plumber called ERX. Everything was running smoothly. on 10/30, a packing crew packed up all my belongings but a small cardboard closet and my dresser that was put in the living room. By 11/1 bedroom and hall floor, both vanities and baseboards were removed and had to move into the Fiesta Hotel.
ERX found asbestos in the walls. Took until 11/29 to start asbestos removal. I advised the asbestos team that my bathtub in the guest bathroom was only a year old an to be careful. By 12/11 house was deemed negative for asbestos. Both toilets were removed as well as sinks so still at Fiesta Hotel. When I got back to the house I found one of the toilets in the new bathtub. I was very upset.
By 12/18 I was getting weary of staying at a hotel and ask ERX to put one toilet back so we could move back in. Toilet put in by 12/22. Moved back home by 12/24. Walls had been removed in hall, bedroom and bathrooms so no insulation. Chilly. Insurance company called because ERX had $2000 in repairs estimate they could not explain. Repairs not started until 1/18.
Wrong baseboards in bathrooms. Had to be removed, should have been wainscoting baseboards. 1/23 wainscoting started but worker stated out of material. 1/29 called ERX to advise standing in Lowe's on College and there are 18 packages of wainscoting that have been in stock since August. 2/5 wainscoting started again. Super was supposed to remove trash. No show. Finally had laminated floors put in but had to get workers back since they had goop in the seams from all the sawdust on the floor during install.
I finally got the trash removed and the Super took the toilet out of the bathtub and there was a chip in the porcelain. ERX wanted the insurance company to pay for it but I told them, their vendors mistake, they pay. The Super states insurance would pay and that's just the way it is. I called my insurance company and they said ERX would have to pay. I called Bibiana and she scheduled to have the tub reglazed.
3/2, 4 months after I hired ERX I finally had everything finished and my possessions back. I had to continuously call ERX and push them along throughout the whole process. If I didn't call, nothing got done for weeks.
3/8 My daughter called at 2:30 pm and let me know we had another sewer flood again. Same problem, same damage, She tried to take a shower and the water came pouring out on the toilet again. Should have listened to my brother.
Final note. Bibiana is the one person at ERX that could always be counted on to schedule things and make things right when I was upset. . She was my only sanity through all of this.
