| - SUMMARY: A gem (and a sunny spot) in Cleveland
FULL STORY: It's a gorgeous building, lots of sunlight, and nice exhibits (Van Gogh, etc, but also some quirky sculptures and rotating exhibits).
Two cafe options -- Provenance (more formal, sit-down, with a small bar lounge), or the more casual marketplace style cafe. Both pretty good. Wish there were better coffee options.
They have monthly "MIX" events -- basically giant museum happy hours with live music.
The sour spot here is the gift shop. On two visits the same older woman working there was really rude and condescending for no apparent reason -- once to me, and once to a friend asking about hours. On another occasion, we had purchased $40-$50 of gifts, and she refused to provide a bag ("For THAT small purchase?") Yikes. So maybe avoid that trap.
There's metered street parking if the weather is decent, or a garage that everyone gets lost in.
Note: There's a membership program if you visit a lot. Discounted parking and tickets.
