| - I did not have any issue with Sixt while in Vegas. In fact, it was a good experience. I, too, was afraid of renting here because of the terrible reviews. We went ahead because we wanted to save $75 for our 5 day rental, and we wanted to rent a luxury car.
The only minor inconvenience is the location. It is not in the main McCarran Rent a Car center, but it is right across the street from it. Not bad if you only have a few bags. They do have a shuttle bus that runs every 5 minutes. It was always on time when we needed it.
I got a great deal on an Infiniti Q50. Again, it was cheaper than renting from other big name rental cars--and you would be renting a Toyota Camry or Hyundai instead of luxury. I only waited about 15 minutes to get help. While you wait, you get free cans of sodas and bottled waters. I can see other people waiting and talking to customer service. I overheard some of the conversations of people waiting or unhappy here...some of these people don't even have a credit card or showed up on time. If you can't afford a rental car or have bad credit, don't try to rent a car.
After we were checked in, they told us to wait for our rental car to get cleaned up. A woman waiting told me "Good luck...I've been waiting here an hour for my car." Well guess what? Immediately after she said that, a Sixt representative literally handed us the keys and told us our car was ready. Sometimes, it pays to treat people nicely sometimes.
When we returned the car, we didn't wait to get checked out. There was a nice young gentleman who checked us out promptly. Then the shuttle bus arrived within 5 minutes. We were out and on our way home, but not without grabbing our free drinks on the way out!
