  • On a cold day in Calgary, I phoned a couple of tow truck / emergency roadside assistance companies in Calgary when my car battery died - all I got was a long menu. Tried Service force and was answered in 10 seconds by Mark - asked him how long to get a boost. He said within one hour - was there within 40 minutes. Not only did he boost the car, but took the time to find out how I tried to boost it, and then after boosting and starting it, he did some diagnostics (simple meter - to show my alternator was generating decent voltage (14+ V) but my cold cranking amperage was down to 250 A or less (need at least double that in cold weather to start) - basically buy a new battery. Not many tow truck operators would do this. Told me not to waste my money but buy a decent battery - I'm selling the car anyway (2010 EX 35 - with a 2 year old battery from the manufacturer - this was a piece of garbage). Would recommend Mark for his promptness, honesty, and efficiency. Hard to find qualities in emergency service folks.
