QCDO is my new favorite Dance class. I haven't been a big fan of Zumba in a long time, but it's hard to find any other fun dance classes. So I was so excited to be introduced to QCDO by Yelp. I brought the 5 class pass and began going immediately!
The best part, they offer classes all over the city every day!! So no matter where you are in the Charlotte area, there is probably a class for you nearby. I work in Ballantyne and live in Salisbury, so I pretty much have all of the classes open to me since I can get to them all on my way home. My favorite instructor so far is Erica B. She just brings something different to her classes. I was especially hooked after I took her Dance.Burn.Repeat class! It's more than just dance. This class made me feel like I was in a dancing bootcamp! I love it! My only gripe about the class is it's only offered once a week and there doesn't seem to be any other classes like it. I've recently been going to the Megamix class. I didn't think I could dance for an hour and a half, but I do! I love it because I can get my Fitbit steps in that day in a fun way. This always helps me on days when i'm dreading the gym. I walk out of there drenched in sweat and really feeling like I worked.
I'm not sure yet how often they introduce new songs, but i've been to 5 classes so far and haven't been taught a new one yet (As in one that's new to the entire class including regulars, because i'm still new to the program). So it'd be nice if they introduced new songs more often, especially with there being so many classes that teach the same choreo and songs. I know the choreography by heart on a lot of songs now. So a bigger variation would be nice. Maybe a new release song each week at least. I also wish they offered classes in the concord area. I think there is one in Mallard Creek, i'll have to try that one day. But you can't really complain about the locations being that they're all over. I'm all out of my 1st purchase of passes so i'm about to re-up. The cost to me is a little steep considering I can take unlimited classes at my gym for $25 with use of the floor and it costs $35 for 5 with them. I'm also probably still a little salty that the new participant rate on their site is cheaper than the one they gave us with Yelp. It makes me hesitate on buying another pass, but I guess it is what it is. I'm probably on my way to becoming a regular with QCDO!
