| - I enjoyed my first Elmwood experience as a part of a bridal shower.
The service was exemplary. We were escorted up to the change rooms and shown to our individual lockers. Each locker had a special gift in it (and an ultra-special gift for the bride-to-be), and the change room was stocked with other amenities we may discover that we needed but forgot (ie: disposable razors, tampons). There were also hair care products and dryers at the mirror. In addition to there being enough space for all of us to comfortably change, there was a giant hot tub in the center of the room - large enough to fit everyone at the shower. I was impressed by how neatly our day was laid out. We were each presented with itineraries so we would know where to be and when (super helpful, considering the sheer size of the spa).
We started our day with a trip to the pool area. Whether or not you swim, you can still enjoy the hot tub, saunas, and plush lounge chairs in the reading area. The best part is that you can enjoy this area for free with the purchase of any spa service.
After that it was downstairs for pedicures. The spa accommodated our entire group so we could tell stories and talk while we had our nails done at the same time. Once that was completed, we went up to lunch.
We were seated in a spacious and private dining room. The service wasn't the quickest, but we were all so relaxed that it didn't matter. We enjoyed a fantastic meal (in our bathrobes no less) and we never felt rushed to leave once we had enjoyed our food.
It was tough to say goodbye, but the check-out process was smooth and simple.
All in all, I would vist Elmwood again in a heartbeat. The only downside? It's definitely pricey. Save your money for a wonderful day at the spa that you will never forget.
