We weren't too pleased with our visit here. Our dog was throwing up for a few days and becoming dehydrated; we suspected that he had eaten something strange or had a bug. We called Agua Fria and they were able to get us in quickly which was nice.
They x-rayed our dog to determine if they could see if he had eaten something foreign and the x-Ray was clear. The vet then suggested to my husband that he perform "exploratory surgery." Um, what? He didn't even entertain the idea that maybe he had caught some sort of bug, and didn't want to run any labs or anything- just straight to surgery. When we denied surgery, the vet behaved as though we were horrible pet owners and said we were taking a "high risk." News flash- surgery is high risk...
We opted instead to give our dog IV fluids with an overnight stay. The next day our boy was golden again, and stopped vomiting. Thank god we didn't allow the vet to give him anesthesia, cut him open, and "explore" his innards.
We won't be taking our pets here again.
