This hotel is beautiful! I brought my husband here for an early Christmas gift to see the Raiders @ Steelers football game (he likes the Raiders). We were originally booked at Mansions on Fifth Saturday and later decided to book an extra night Friday so we could have a long weekend in town. I booked Friday for the Renaissance. Luckily for us, we had a mixup with the booking when we booked through a third party at the Mansions on Fifth for that Saturday and Booking.com ended up coming through with the win by helping us get booked for Friday night as well at Renaissance in a very nice room! So we ended up staying at the same hotel both nights and it was just a few blocks from the Heinz field. Both rooms we stayed in that weekend were beautiful, had large windows, and views of the river and baseball field. The second night's room was definitely much larger, more windows (on two sides of the room since we were on a corner) and had an AHHHH-MAZING view of the river, baseball stadium, and football stadium. Honestly, the rooms and decor in the hotel (including the marble lobby) really made this hotel stand out. The service was great too. We didn't end up getting room service since we wanted to try out restaurants in town but the service at the front desk was great. I could not recommend this hotel more if you are staying in Pittsburgh, whether for a sports event or a show (there were so many theatres in that area including one attached to the hotel). We listened to other reviewers and didn't do valet. I called the hotel a week before asking about parking and they told me about the much cheaper city parking garage literally across the street from the hotel entrance, so we did that. It was very cheap and we never used the car while staying there so that helped. We walked to the strip district (also a mile away) to eat and there are a ton of restaurants nearby, including in the market.
