  • I am thinking that any good reviews posted here must have been posted by Cox employees and required by their supervisor. Everyone tried to talk us out of going with Cox but we didn't listen! We ordered only internet and phone for our home business (no TV) and it was $144. a month! (It started out at about $99. per month for the first 6 months.) We are a TINY little mom and pop business, operate from our home and don't have a website or email through Cox and no switchboard, only a land line... so thought this price was outrageous! We had to sign a 3 year contract since we are a business. After 1 1/2 years, we wanted to cancel our contract since we were paying so much but they told us that we would have to pay $2500. since that was the amount owed for the term of our contract!!!!!!! When we called to try and re-negotiate the price when our contract ended, they wouldn't budge. So guess what..... we are canceling with Cox and going with another provider for 1/3 the price and will never recommend Cox and in fact we will get on the "don't go with Cox" train!
