A dozen of these were cruelly dropped off at my office this week, forcing me and my co-workers to stare at them all day until we finally caved and broke into the box.
I was a little put off by the cupcakes that had iridescent frosting; it kind of reminded me of '80s eyeshadow. I avoided those and tried half of the pumpkin "cupcake of the month" and half of the lemon "skinny minny" or whatever cupcake. I should preface by saying that I LOOOOOOVE anything pumpkin, so I am easy to please in that department. But. This cupcake was amazing. So moist, dense, and the perfect balance of gourd-y goodness and spice. The frosting was vanilla/cinnamon, and it was the perfect complement to the cake. I don't think I could have eaten a whole one, though. After eating half my stomach was telling me to stop. I did taste the lemon half, which was also good (lighter than the pumpkin), but the half cupcake plus bite were about all I could handle.
I don't know how much the cupcakes cost, and it's easy to review free food favorably, but I was pleased with my Cupcakes experience!
