| - We met with Kent Axtell, the owner, and got an estimate to patch and repaint a wall and repair three drawers. While we thought the estimate was a little high, he seemed to be a nice guy and we wanted to support a local business so decided to go ahead with him. We wrote him a check for half the estimate up front with the remainder due upon completion.
Originally, we were told that we would be contacted within the next day or two. After a couple days, a different man called us to patch the wall. The wall got patched but not painted. After a few more days of no contact, we called Kent and was told that we should put the drawers out front and he would pick them up that evening. After 3 days, the drawers still had not been picked up. We called again, and he said he would pick up the drawers that evening and fix them over the weekend. We also mentioned that the other work was still unfinished and he said he would come out the next week.
The next week, someone else came by and said that Kent wasn't coming out and that this was the first he had heard about this job. He also said that Kent had picked up the drawers but not fixed them. By this point, it had been nearly three weeks since we had gotten the original estimate. While the job was eventually done, it wasn't handled professionally at all. Additionally, the drawer repairs were done in a somewhat amateurish manner.
The fact that there was very poor communication, mistakes, and false promises makes it impossible to recommend this company.
