  • The views this hotel offer are stunning. The location is also ideal as it's located close to many key areas of the city for tourists. My room was clean but needed some upgrades for me to argue this is a four star hotel. The bed was very comfortable too. Wifi is free which isn't the case at most four star hotels in the city, sadly! Now to cons -- The woman who checked me in said only one thing during the entire process and said it in a rude way while looking right at my name on my credit card asked "WHAT is your name?!" Odd. No mention of facilities, breakfast, elevators, check out, etc. I even had to check on the envelope she gave me for my room numbe/floor. I said "That's it?" once she handed me back my credit card and room key. I struggled to find the elevators, dug up information about the hotel restaurant and breakfast on my own and discovered on my own that the pool was closed for an unknown reason. This was very poor customer service that didn't even come with a smile let alone more information. The employee was fluent in English as I had heard her speaking it while waiting in line. After I checked in the housekeeper knocked and tried to open my door (it was deadbolted) but I'm not sure why since it was one hour into my stay. The other staff members I encountered were helpful and pleasant. Also the location is convenient and the views are great but the street and park across the street attract some aggressive panhandlers and drug users especially in the evening. If you're set on staying in that area of town and/or want a great view I'd recommend this hotel but if you're shelling out this sort of money for a four star hotel and expect (as most people do) friendly service, modern upgrades and working facilities then you should look elsewhere.
