Yogurt Spoon is a gem among froyo establishments in Toronto.
The restaurant has a strange layout: the dispensers are in the back and the topping buffet near the side leaving a huge area of chairs near the front, I'd think they'd be better off having an extra set of toppings with the amount of unused space. This would definitely set them apart from their froyo peers.
The staff was pretty friendly. I noticed that there were no sampling containers. While some froyo digs offer the teeny cups, they don't have any spoons.
There were about 8 flavours of yogurt, and the Salted Caramel was strangely sweet. I went with Original which was it was very smooth, though I prefer Menchie's just for the taste.
I loved that YS has mochi, -little delicious sticky rice cake cubes. I also picked almond slivers, blueberry, mango, strawberry and cheesecake.
+1 for the Mochi and Peanut butter chips.
The prices were also great, my medium sized bowl was much cheaper than the average at $.49 per ounce.
