Good location, old rooms, relatively good service.
There are no food options on site if you arrive after 10 pm. The lounge across the street is open, but you cannot bring this food into the hotel lounge (which I tried when I joined friends for a drink and the end of the hockey game). If your kitchen is closed, and you have a table full of guests willing to buy more drinks why send them away? Bad blind application to the rules by a less than business-savvy manager.
The construction next door makes it a bit noisy early in the morning, but if you are there for business travel, you will likely be up early anyway. The doors are cheap, so light from the hallway will prevent your room from ever getting completely dark. Fortunately this guests on my floor were quiet so that was the main problem with the flimsy doors during my stay. The TVs are ancient, and the furniture basic but adequate for a business stay.
