We weren't too impressed with the Rio. We bought a Groupon deal... later to find out it was cheaper when we checked in by $35 per night and nothing like the images shown. The room itself was dated but clean. There were some stains on the sofa and carpet but we made a path with towels and kept our socks on at all times.
The kicker at this place is that they charge a $28 "resort fee". They don't offer anything for it. There is no coffee in the rooms, you must purchase a small cup for $9. Room wasn't serviced over a two day period. I have paid resort fees before and they include something, to include local calls is a little ridiculous considering that most if not all people have a cell phone. Speaking of which there was limited reception.
I can't say I would stay here again. However the customer service and check in went smoothly and all staff were very nice.
This hotel or "resort" is not worth more than $40 on the weekends including the resort fee.
Tip: Get a map. Trying to find the right elevator for the rooms can be confusing.
