What a splendid park! Took 2 and 4 yr old for a morning at the park. 1st time here and wow is it beautiful. Someone there said it's the Central Park of Charlotte and I agree. A fun playground which was great for the 4+ age group. Not so much for the 2 yr old to do other than 1 slide and the swings. There was so much else to check out other than the actual playground it was totally fine with her. We checked out the duck pond, walked the beautifully paved trails, Looked at the volleyball and tennis courts. The also have a kid football "training" area with mini football training equipment set up. Oh yay, and train for the kids to board and look at.
My only issue is a woman with 2 wolf hybrid dogs was walking close to the playgrounds which made me uncomfortable. They were on leash but, even as an avid dog lover, I was on alert. Since I'm still fairly new to the area and I'm not in the know, I'm surprised wolf breeds are legal in this state. I'm especially surprised they are welcomed at public parks.
Go, go, go and have fun!!
