  • This Starbucks is located across from gate C-14 at the Las Vegas McCarran airport. There was a FLY in my drink!!! Enough said. But I'll say more. (See photos) I stopped here between flights for a pastry and an ice water. I was drinking the water while walking to my next gate and decided to stop and empty the water into my reusable water bottle. When I popped the Starbucks lid off, I saw the little winged creature floating at the top of my drink. I resisted the urge to throw up and headed back to the Starbucks to notify the staff. I assumed, since it was an ice water, that the fly (RIP) had been in the ice bin and scooped into the cup. I first notified the woman serving the drinks, since she was still serving that ice. She dismissed my concerns about the ice and simply offered me a replacement ice water, which of course I did not want. I asked for the manager, who then took a lengthy amount of time to arrive. Donald, the manager, also dismissed my concerns about the ice (he said "I doubt it's coming from the ice bin") and simply offered me a new ice water. (Meanwhile other customers are listening and taking a second look at their iced coffees.) I persisted in questioning Donald until he finally admitted that he had no other idea of the source of the fly and reluctantly agreed to switch out the ice in the ice bin. That should not have been such a struggle to make happen. I returned the pastry as well, which also took a very lengthy amount of time to complete. I DO NOT recommend this Starbucks and I will forever be removing my drink lids from any beverage purchases in the future BEFORE consuming them.
