Sadly, Vegas isn't known for the best Chinese food and that includes dim sum. However, Yum Cha will suffice as adequate to satisfy your dim sum craving. It doesn't have the large dining rooms that I have been accustomed to in California, but there isn't much of a wait here either. Like traditional dim sum spots, you can order some larger plates off the menu while you peruse the selection from the carts being pushed around.
There are a few dim sum dishes that I thought were decent enough to come back for and others that I would avoid. I enjoyed the siu mai and the glutinous rice dumplings (filled with pork). The shrimp noodle rolls were also really good. However, the shrimp dumplings and soup dumplings were poorly made and quickly fell apart. In fact, xiao long baos were so dry that there was no soup inside. Of the large plates, we tried the beef chow fun, which was well received.
The prices are decent and the service was pretty fast after we were seated. Prices are about 50 cents cheaper if you go on a weekday versus the weekend.
