| - I went here for the first time this week. There are only two stalls to bathe your dogs in self-wash. The steel tubs have steps that also turn into a ramp, but the ramp is very steep and the dog still has to step up a lot into the tub. I have a lab, 89lbs. The tub has a blue plastic coated grate in it so the dog doesn't sit in dirty bath water, but the holes were causing her to get her nails stuck in them, and one broke off during her bath. My dog is very arthritic, and it was hard for her to turn around in the tub and she refused to come out at the end. Luckily a groomer came out and was able to pick her up! My dog refused to go down the ramp for me. They don't have oatmeal shampoo, but you could bring your own, they have a mild shampoo instead for dogs with sensitive skin. I looked at their boarding facility. They have day boarding too. Their are two social areas, one for little dogs, and one for big dogs. They also have a greeting area where they say they introduce dogs to each other before letting them loose in the area. This is really important, but I was taught that you should walk dogs slowly by each other, in opposite directions two times on a leash to introduce them to each other. They have a small area for a dog to go if they don't want to be with other dogs. I haven't used a boarding facility before, so I can't really rate it. I prefer to have someone watch dogs in my home. It's less stressful on them. Seeing all the dogs in their kennels made me feel so sad for them. Some were really crying for their mommy and daddy to come back.I liked how there was a gate to lock you and your pet in the same are. So my other dog could be loose on the floor while I bathed the other one.
