  • Good afternoon, I would like to share my experience that I had on my first time at cowabunga bay on June 16, 2016. I called a few days before to get some information on the season passes and was informed that with the season pass I would be able to get my family members in on a discounted rate of 19.99. I then asked if there was a limit and how to go about purchasing the discounted tickets. I was informed that there was no limit and I would have to purchase them on a machine and it would only process 10 per transaction. She stated that if I needed more than 10 I would have to process another transaction but that there was no limit. I decided to go ahead and purchase the basic season pass of $109 online the day before attending the park, I was first confused by it stating it would be shipped? Then I received an email with the ticket included, but it did not state what further steps to take? So I then attended the park the next day with my family that came from out of town and went to the ticket office and showed the printed email I received. The lady sent me next door to get registered for the season pass and advised me to purchase my family's ticket online which I thought I would be able to purchase there as I was advised over the phone. I went ahead and purchased them online, it was very inconvenient because, I wasn't able to purchase them there, limit online was only 5 per transaction and i had to register online FIRST which I wish I could have done the day before when I purchased it. We finally entered the park after 30minutes of purchasing and registering which was not pleasant in the heat, with my sister 35 weeks pregnant, my 3 year old nephew, and my other family members just waiting around. A few hours later my sister and I were looking for the restroom and walked by a pretzel stand, and asked one of your employees where we could find the nearest restroom, she looked at us and said "I really don't know". We were shocked!!!!!!!!!! There were two other employees near her, she could have asked them or find out for us. Never in my customer service career have I ever answered that way to a customer. It was very disappointing. Later on the day we ordered dinner for all 13 of us. Many of the employees were just standing around talking, while we had to go back and inform them they messed up on our order. Things were missing, the order was NOT taken correctly. The lifeguards do not seem to be on the same page. The rules changed every time there was a different lifeguard in the kiddie pool. One lifeguard would say the child has to be on the lap going down the slide, than another one said to sit next to the child? It was very confusing and unnecessary if everyone would be on the same page. That day was disappointment after disappointment even before entering the park. Majority of us have season passes and now we will have to think twice of going back. We live close to wet and wild park and had season passes last year, but we heard so many good things of cowabunga bay so we decided to change it up this year. We just wanted to let you know of our experience and to train the staff better!!
