Months after I moved out and re-rented my apartment with Bankier, they emailed me about $184.88 that I owed them. I called and they said it was for carpet cleaning. This should have been covered by my security deposit, which they kept all of because of the re-renting. The person I talked to said she would get back to me after talking to her supervisor, but she didn't. I emailed them to follow up with it, quoting the part of me re-rent agreement that said my forfeited security deposit was supposed to cover costs associated with re-renting the apartment. They never emailed back. Then, yesterday, I got a collections notice saying I owed almost $250 now. I'm disputing the claim, obviously, but I find this whole thing very unprofessional and would no longer recommend anyone live here because of this backhanded attempt to charge me extra money on top of keeping me entire security deposit and a re-renting fee.
