Still a 1-star bank. Due to availability, I went to use their ATM. After accepting the $5 fee as a non-member, the machine had an "unknown error" and did not give me my money, but definitely debited it from my other checking account. I went inside and was told there was nothing they could do. The manager told me "You have to file a dispute with your bank, we don't service our own ATMs."
My bank has started the dispute process and says it can take up to 10 business days for BMO to respond and give me my money back. What a nightmare, thank goodness I don't live paycheck-to-paycheck!
