| - I am a Southern girl. I grew up listening to country and bred with that Southern style. Of course, I revolted, and ran away to the desert to escape life below the Mason-Dixon Line. Anytime I set foot into a country bar, I cringe. I don't know if it's the cheap drinks, the weird lighting, or the fact that people (MEN and WOMEN) are line dancing to Jennifer Lopez that just baffles me.
Needless to say, Stoney's in clean and has a very friendly staff. I was impressed that there was a live band playing instead of a DJ. There were also peanuts on everyone's table, a large dedicated dance floor in the center of the space and two bars on either side of the dance floor, the bars are large and with plenty of bartenders.
If you are a country fan, enjoy line dancing, then this place is a must. It is however, not my cup of tea. Not my kind of music, or my type of place. To each their own. I do think that Stoney's does a good job as a country/line dancing bar. There drinks aren't overly priced and on Thursdays, it's ladies night, which is a one way ticket to the hot mess express. Ratchets everywhere. Consider yourself warned. It just gets sloppy.
Wrangler butts drive me nuts, so I do my best to steer clear of this place, but I can compare this place to other country bars and know that this is probably the best you will get in Vegas. Yeehaw, folks, yee-haw.
