This is a great cinema and used to be part of the Repertory Cinema chain in Toronto. It is one of the few remaining old movie theatres in the city and the interior has not been touched or renovated. It's a clean and warm environment with one screen. There are ample seats which are the only new addition. The new seats are a great touch because they don't squeak as they do in other old cinemas and they are much more comfortable. It almost has the feel of a museum. At the back of the theatre are examples of old projection machines from throughout the ages. Seeing them really puts the era of the building in perspective. The walls are all lined with minimal art deco designs and the screen is nice and big as they all were back in the day. This is a great, cozy environment in which you can see a movie that may already have stopped showing in the main stream cinema chains.
