Great little Korean bakery in the city. I've been a big fan of walnut cakes since I bit into it's flavorful goodness so many years ago. Walnut cakes are traditionally a Korean dessert, so what better (and fresher) way to have em then to go to a korean bakery! They have a walnut cake machine right by the store front window, so you can watch the action unfold. The smell from these little babies are mind-controlling.
Walnut cakes are bite-size little round egg custard cakes, fileld with either red bean or custard. There's a small walnut piece in the center of every cake. I personally like the custard ones, but both are pretty tasty. You can buy a small pack for $3 or a large box for $5. I think the small has 10 and the large 22 or something like that.
Other than walnut cakes they have little korean desserts like honey castella cakes. Those aren't made fresh (not to say they aren't fresh, but they are pre-packaged). Walnut cakes are made daily, I'd go after 12:30, 1pm to be safe. Cute little mom and pop shop!
