This has been my go-to sushi place since I moved to Tempe. The ordering system is a little tricky when you first go there (you have to mark your order on a card,) but the wait staff is always super personable and happy to help you out, as well as explain what is in some of the more obscure rolls.
I reccommend going during one of their happy hours (my personal favorite being the 9 PM - close) and getting a sake bomb--$5.50 for a huge bottle of Kirin and warm sake. And they don't yell at you if you do the obnoxious but fun pound-on-the-table sake bomb setup. If you are a semi-lightweight like me, that $5.50 will get you a great head start on your night out. During happy hour, you can easily get fed and drunk for about $20 a person, with leftovers to take home.
To be honest, I have only ever ordered sushi rolls and edamame here. All the specialty rolls are delicious and huge--don't be turned off by the price, they pile tons of crunchy and savory extras on top of many of their rolls. The wasabi and ginger are also perfect.
Atmosphere is good. Nice decor, and the music is generally something that suits my taste. Can get a bit loud, but what do you expect from a place that's right next to ASU? My only gripe about this place is that the patio is kind of loud because it faces the intersection, so I never sit out there.
