I was given a credit 3 rides ago since the driver went to the wrong city. Same address but different cities. Anyhow, the charged me $5 to cancel the trip. I disputed it and they refunded my $5 to use on a later trip. First time I tried to use it, I made a mistake on loading it to my ride. Now this second time, I followed the instructions given to me from the customer service representative. Still didn't work. After numerous chats between myself and customer service, they still are adamant that I did it wrong. I know for a fact I didn't. It showed the credit would come off then when the CC went through, it did not. AND, get this...they can't refund to CC. What??? Anyhow, I don't give a shit about the $5. It's the principal of the whole deal. I have taken the same ride 4 times with Uber. Charged a completely different amount each time. None of these times were in high usage time frames. Varies by a few bucks. Same trip with Lyft, is not only cheaper, but consistently priced. Also Lyft drivers are much better drivers and generally nicer to deal with. Uber has been deleted from my apps and I will only use Lyft from now on. You should too!
