| - One of my favorite hotels to stay in Las Vegas. And I've stayed in a lot of them... We booked a studio parlor suite through the Mlife website and we were more than pleased with our choice in room and hotel. The entrance to Vdara is off of Harmon so you avoid the mess and delays on the strip. The hotel is spotless from the lobby, to the cafe, Starbucks, bar/lounge and everything else in between the ground level and your room. Our studio parlor suite was on the 53rd floor. I requested a high floor room and it had a partial view of the Bellagio water fountain so that was great. I appreciated Mike? (Filipino gentleman) at concierge ensuring that the room we requested was the one we were given. We were real happy with our stay from the beginning to check-out.
The room was great. It was worth every penny. It had a 2 stove top Gaggenau burner, Bosch microwave, 2 sided mini refrigerator, table for 2, living area with its own 42" Phillips LED... And on the other side of the room divider separating the living area from the bed (king) area was an identical LED screen. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom was very spacious with a big tub, small closet, rolling towel valet, single sink (wish it was two) with plenty of counter space and roomy glass stand up shower with a mini bench in it. The provided Vive toiletries were nice. They were mild and came in handy. Oh and the closet in the sleeping area... it was HUGE. As it should be. That's what I'm talking about. It's the little things and Vdara got it all right. The automatic sheer and blackout shades go up and down or all at once at the push of a button. The master control for all of the lights was also key.
One added plus of staying here is the peace and quiet of the Vdara not having a casino in the lobby. While that may be a negative to some, it's definitely a plus for me. And besides, Aria is a short walk outside from the lobby. 2-3 mins, tops? Maybe less.. And the walkway by the Starbucks leads right to the Bellagio and the tram that will take you to Monte Carlo or Crystals mall. Vdara being central like that was a great plus for us.
And of course I always review the valet at each Vegas hotel I stay in. The Vdara valet staff is very courteous and professional. They welcome you back, they open the door for your passengers as well and you can call down ahead so your car will be waiting when you get downstairs.
Vdara. 5 stars... easy. One of my favorite Vegas hotels by far. I look forward to staying there again.
