Went to the Wynn buffet for our Christmas Eve Dinner - Wynn had special holiday menu starting Christmas Eve. It was a relatively long wait (we got there at 4:20 PM) and got seated at 5:50 PM. It was worth the wait. The king crab legs were actually flavorful and fresh - other buffets also had crab legs but were very bland. The prime rib rivals that of Lawry's and House of Prime Ribs (in SF). Chinese roast duck was juicy and the skins are crispy - better than ones I get in Chinatown. There were also scallop, other seafood, lamb, and other dishes. All were well made and offers great variety of tastes. The desserts were also very well made and delicate - for example the Strawberry Mouse Cup had a layer of Champagne jello on top. Gelato was good and refreshing after a big meal.
Service was OK - we got our drinks although sometimes staff was hard to find. Compare to service at Bellagio, though, Wynn still wins hands down. Bellagio food and service really went downhill.
When we left at around 8 PM, there was still a long line. If you wish to go, definitely go at least 1.5 to 2 hours before normal dinner time.
Overall although service was a little weak, the fabulous food was definitely the best buffet we had in Vegas, and it really made our Christmas Eve a memorable one.
