| - I've been going there since at least 1971, when I was in High School, and they had gas pumps, and people to dry the car after you watched it go through. Now I avoid the place, although it is the closest car wash to my house. I've been driving black cars, and for years I've noticed the windshield and paint have gray spots after the car comes out. They don't wipe off, unless I rub very hard while the towel is wet, or use detail spray. Also, the water that drips out from mirrors and trim leaves gray streaks on the side and rear of the car, I assume it is from the dirty rinse water, which I think they recycle, but I don't know. This is aggravating, as my current car is new, so the spots are more noticeable. Otherwise the car is pretty clean, and the undercarriage spray seems pretty powerful. Because of the gray spots, I avoid going there unless the no-touch car wash is closed and I need to get salt off the undercarriage.
