I had business in town for a week and since I have never stayed at the Linq I decided to give it a shot. When I checked in I utilized the self check in kiosk. This was convenient but since you aren't being shown your room on a map at the check in desk I received the room furthest down the hall from the elevators which was very inconvenient being in town for six days. The restaurants are extremely limited in the hotel so you have to take advantage of the promenade outside which is full of restaurants and probably the best reason to stay here. The casino is on the small side compared to other casinos in the area so if your looking for a large casino this isn't the place for you. The monorail is behind the hotel so if your looking for cheap transportation that is always an option. I didn't care for the hotel bars in the casino. As I was placing a $20 bill in the video poker machine at the bar I asked the bartender if they provide alcohol to people using the video poker machines at the bar. I was told that if I was going to get free alcohol I was told that I needed to make the maximum bet on the machines. I have never been told that in my life at any other casino. This aggravated me and made me go to other casinos to gamble and drink after that. My biggest issue was the last night I was there. I was awakened at 6am to some woman screaming in the room next to me, yelling for "help" and to "call the police" and to let her out. A couple of minutes later hotel security showed up at the room. I then hear the the occupants explain to the security staff that they brought this woman back from the club and that she stole $100 out of the guys wallet so they were holding her until she gave the money back. I was shocked that security sided with the occupants because this woman allegedly stole $100. They asked if they wanted security to call the police because of the alleged theft but no one was discussing abduction/unlawful restrain charges. If I had to guess they brought a prostitute back to their room and she stole money which is obviously wrong but it sounded like the police should have been addressing the whole group. Disappointed that the hotel wasn't addressing the issue as a whole as it disturbed all surrounding rooms. Based on this experience I would never stay at this location again.
