Took my wife's IS in for the 20000 mile service and to have some minor warranty items repaired because it was more convenient (5miles) than where we purchased the vehicle (25 miles). Should be a no brainer right? Never mind the fact that they charge $400 for a glorified oil change that is the 20000 mile service. When my wife gets the call about the car they tell her the minor problem we had - which was an annoying squeak in the front and rear end that was intermittent - was normal. They did fix the gasket around the sunroof tho I think. That's the one star.
However, in addition to the already exponentially overpriced service they wanted us to do another $250 worth of maintenance items. How much can a car with 20,000 miles on it need?
Sounded like they spent looking at the squeak and were much more concerned about selling something.
We asked them to not do any work and told them we would pick it up. Of course the $400 service got done. I consider it a very expensive lesson. Took the car to Earnhardt Lexus right after we picked it up as that's where it's been serviced prior and they will keep the car and no doubt fix it. Never again at Superstition Springs Lexus. I emailed the GM on 3/27 per the response from the company. No reply yet.
