  • BEWARE: My intention is to be fair and spare your pup from the misery of Darcy and her terrible 'business' grooming by Darcy. Be wary of taking your dog here for grooming people. The groomer (did not get a name) has no idea what she is doing. My husband dropped my Lhasa off for a full groom and told the groomer we wanted a clean-up, clip back her hair just a little and clean-up around her face. She said no problem. Any groomer who has the slightest knowledge of grooming a Lhasa knows that you DO NOT shave this particular breed of dog (unless of course the owners request it) I arrive to pick-up my dog and right away notice her caged, this does not sit well with me considering our normal groomer has a doggie play room, so I was completely caught off guard. Then, she brings my dog out and I was utterly SHOCKED, they had shaved my Lhasa, not just her body, her legs, feet, beard and her neck which were so uneven and so short I started balling. The women asked what was wrong, as if I was the one that did something wrong. I asked her if my husband had asked her to shave our dog and she replied "that's not a shave, that's three levels above a shave!" Three levels above a bic shave maybe. Seeing I was upset she gladly took the $45 she charged me for this "SHAVE", no apology and walked away. Really? By this time I'm pretty upset. I take my dog home only to notice that not only did they shave her, but they clipped her nails too short that my dog does not want to walk around, along with shaving her so close to her booty they nicked her several times. So the bottom line is I would steer clear of her if I were you. She is unprofessional, doesn't know how to do her job and I would say she sits on the shady side of business practice. I never imagined I'd get ripped off by a dog groomer!
