| - Full disclosure: I'm a regular here. Gushi's nanban tetsuya is one of the very few things I could eat everyday. The karaage is on point on all counts; succulent and crispy textures, seasoning, flavour, the whole package. Add that to box of hearty purple rice, topped with green onions, side of pickled ginger, drizzle of a sweet soy/mirin type sauce, kewpie mayo, and the most excellent nanban sauce (some sort of caramelized citrus/yuzu type that is zesty, tangy, bitter and sweet in the most pleasant way), and you have what I would order if it were my last meal. Drinks include ramune, ice-cold (or hot depending on season) canned tea (green or oolong), among others. Their croquette, takoyaki, and pogos are very good as well. Shinji (aka Mr. Gushi) is a very energetic, positive, and friendly and makes sure your order is perfect before it's in your hands. Being quite reasonably priced and just steps from where I work, I can only say that this place comes highly recommended.
