Attending the CNE is an annual tradition, I go at least once each year. Carnival games, rides, shows, unique vendors, and fun festival food... what's not to love?
Here's what I tried this year:
*Raclette: potatoes with onion and Halal beef sausage with melted cheese on top: tasty and makes for a fun to view as the oozing melted cheese is scraped on top
*Dough me: deep fried chocolate chip cookie dough - this was on my must-try list this year! We shared 3. Decadent and rich (as if there was any doubt) - a single one was filling enough
*Jake's Lobster: lobster roll came with fries and a mini coleslaw. Roll was small relative to price. There were a ton of fries though - would be better if they reduce fries, eliminate the coleslaw and offer a filling lobster roll
*Jamaica restaurant: got a piece each of jerk chicken and fried chicken (Halal) with rice/beans. The salad didn't look appetizing so we decided not to eat it, but the chicken was fall-of-the-bone delicious! Would definitely visit again.
