I ate the original from NYC branch (when they had lamb) and the taste and experience isn't the same. Even if there is a line up on the street or people eating on the side it just adds to the experience.
There will be a line up (unless you go early) but service is fast. Although they offer a sandwich and a plate option, they are flexible with the sides (eg: no salad more rice or vice versa)
In terms of taste, i didnt actually enjoy the beef plate. The beef felt dry, the rice felt old, and the salad...tasted like salad lol. The chicken sandwich though did taste yummy. If anything I would probably stop by for th3 sandwich
If you havent tried this place then sure go ahead, but definitly try their branch in nyc as well
