  • Just came here to say I'm really bummed Silver Dollar will be closing soon. I was just there on the weekend to see Hooded Fang and I'm glad I got a visit in before the news of its fate - lost to yet another condo - came down yesterday afternoon. Blissful ignorance and whatnot. I'll be making a point to get in another visit before the doors close. The Silver Dollar is one of the first venues I visited after moving to Toronto nearly seven years ago, and it has been a favourite ever since. It's divey and the bathrooms are not cute, but the beer is cheap, the music is varied and always interesting, and come on, its a goddamn piece of Toronto music history. If you've never been, get your butt to the Silver Dollar before its too late.
