The doubletree has seen it's day. I was there for a conference and stayed overnight although I was local. The conference rooms have not been updated to reflect anything modern with projection tech; the doors have so many layers of paint on them they barely shut correctly. The staff there was certainly nice enough though. The terms of our event were pretty pricey; we had them cater lunch and breaks...worked out to $45/day per person. Kinda pricey IMHO.
Hotel room was clean modern and updated. However the pool area seems a huge waste of space as nobody was swimming...the pool did not look inviting, cloudy. There was no music, no draw to the pool area. Weird not to capitalize on your asset.
We had a hospitality room that was tucked way up in back...no tv, no speakers, and you were not allowed to serve alcohol in the room...you could bring a beer, but could not have bottles in there w/o a permit. $150. SO you had to have a suite where you could make your drinks, and them bring them down to the boring no alcohol room with no tv or music. Make an effort, dbltree.
