| - Picked up a cake and some macarons for an engagement party. Very disappointed. The cake looks like it was made by a child and upon looking at their other cakes and their album of cakes, I realized that this is their standard look. It's mediocre quality at above average prices. We had writing on our cake, and the letters were uneven and different sizes (not suited for a wedding/engagement party), it reminded me of playdoh on a cake. The cashier seemed very distracted, almost gave us the wrong cake (a childs bday cake instead) and did not seem to care too much. We picked up a lot of macarons as well and she just dumped them off a tray into a massive box, where they rolled all over each other leaving them to fall apart and allowing the filling to stick everywhere, AFTER WARDS she asked "is this ok?" and because the damage was done, I shrugged and took the box away from her and carefully handled the box moving forward, hoping there could not be any more damage done to these poor macarons.
Aesthetically the cake was a 1/5 (you'd be better off just picking one up from the grocery store, their baker could pipe fancy lettering better), service 2/5, taste 3/5. If you want a pretty cake, this is not the place. There are other places that charge less, decorate much better, and package with care.
