| - Experience a nightmare from day one. Office botched move-in costs. 3-4 told had a rent credit. We told them otherwise. Finally accepted credit and a day later, office suddenly figured out problem and demanded money.
Moved into unclean, un-repaired unit. Food in kitchen sink, counters were not re-finished.
Excess paint on EVERYTHING. Fixtures, countertops, tiles, floor, everything. Molding in corner fell of exposing a nail, not properly installed.
Empty cases where fire extinguishers were supposed to be outside. Complex not required to put extinguishers individual first floor units. Took weeks to fix.
Another resident was using our assigned parking. Office assured would leave note on car, Checked all day. No note. Called in again. Office got angry, defensive, lied and said they did. Said they would again, second time they actually did. No need to lie, just apologize that you forgot.
Pool filthy. Black film crusted over tiles. Pool floor has permanent streaks of brown crud, never cleaned or vacuumed. Pool filters broken or never on. Tall palms constantly litter water. Can stand by filter, never sucked up. Second pool, same problems but also constantly cloudy/milky water. No professional pool cleaner, just clueless maintenance men.
Turned in rent check day late. Accepted the $75 fee. Staff accepts personal check. Note left on door says can not accept personal check. No knock. No email. No phone call, just a note after office closed. Get cashier check next day from bank. Office accepts. Note on door says owe $10 for additional late day. Expect me to pay for office mistake cause employee new. Took 3 weeks of being repeatedly harassed by office to settle their mistake.
Buildings run down, not cared for. Rental Hall and Gym roofs collapse in rain storm. Took months to reconstruct. Complex not structurally safe.
Dryer broken from day 1. Metal piece inside tumbler snags and rips clothes. Replaced with model removed from "upgrading" unit. When removed, floor underneath covered in thick, black grit, not cleaned in years. Even maintenance man embarrassed. Sets replacement dryer up, realized settings knob broken. Had to hunt down knob for dryer to even be functional.
Complex re-painted to hide filth and decay. Paint crew broke light fixture on balcony, did not replace.
Fireplace not work from day 1. Maintenance man finds tag saying to professionally service. Maintenance boss denies, hits gas line repeatedly with wrench. Worked for 5 minutes. I knew better. When shut off and try to put back on later that night, broken again. Never properly fixed.
Maintenance did fix broken heater and replace bulbs in recess lighting surprisingly.
Removed basketball/tennis court from other courtyard. Installed miniature soccer field, second dog park. No lights, new dog park pitch black. Hard to pick up poop when cant see, Bring flashlight or download flashlight app on phone.
Hope they dont renovate unit around you. Renovations can start 8AM, run through 10PM. No prior warning to adjacent units. Constant hammering, ripping up rugs, destruction of concrete, walls, ceiling, cabinets, molding. Loud and ever-lasting. Renovation crew leaves behind discarded material like wood molding with nails. wooden boards with nails sticking out for you, children, and pets to step on.
Above neighbors inconsiderate, stomp, blast music day and night. People come and go all hours. Often smoke weed outside. We try to be polite, have baby. No consideration. Call office, refuse to assist. Call security, never show. We kept track for hours. Office next day claim security showed. More lies. Issue ongoing 8 months. Afraid to call cops,will make issue worse, more dangerous.
Management lets cat owners do whatever. 5-6 outdoor cats roam area. Can spread disease via feces, urine, and attacks. Cat scratch fever serious for people/animals with weakened immune system. Cats regularly show aggression, allowed free roam unleashed, unsupervised unlike dogs. Rules discriminate against dog owners.
Management and maintenance taken stance of neglect when providing safe and sanitary areas for our dogs. Dog parks especially neglected. Poop bags dispenser rarely refilled leading to increased amount of feces in dog park grounds and surrounding area. Regularly go 4-5 days without being replenished. People purposely litter the dog park with alcoholic beverage containers, cigarette butts, and animal bones. Bones can be poisonous and fatally lethal. Happens repeatedly despite constant pleas to office to sufficiently act which they have failed to do. Posted cheap printed signs that promptly withered in rain. Couldnt be bothered to simply laminate them.
Summary: decaying structures, unskilled maintenance, filth, feces, and disease a constant threat to children and pets, wood boards with nails, and specific targeting of dogs with intent to injure or kill, horrible tenants, constant flow of drugs and alcohol means unsafe for all. Does not honor lease agreement.
